Na het overlijden van een dierbare zijn de mooiste herinneringen vaak verspreid over tientallen telefoons. Foto's van vroeger, kiekjes van een laatste verjaardag, beelden van de uitvaartdag zelf. Bij familieleden, vrienden, collega's en kennissen, ieder met hun eigen verhaal. Veel van die beelden blijven daar ongedeeld staan en verdwijnen langzaam in de vergetelheid. Kiekje brengt al deze herinneringen samen op één plek, zodat de nabestaanden ze voor altijd kunnen bewaren.

Via één QR-code kan iedereen bijdragen, vóór, tijdens en na de uitvaart. Tijdens de condoleance of koffietafel worden de beelden ingetogen weergegeven op een rustige slideshow, passend bij het moment. Voor wie er niet bij kan zijn, blijft het album toegankelijk via dezelfde QR-code, zodat ook later nog een herinnering of foto kan worden toegevoegd.

Naast beeld en geluid biedt Kiekje een digitaal condoleanceregister. Bezoekers laten hun herinneringen, gedichten of woorden van medeleven achter, geschreven of als gesproken bericht, persoonlijker dan een papieren boek en altijd terug te lezen of beluisteren voor de familie. Alles wordt opgeslagen op servers in Europa en is AVG-conform: alleen wie de QR-code of link heeft, kan bijdragen of meekijken. Het volledige album, inclusief de condoleances, kan door de familie worden gedownload of als herinneringsboek worden afgedrukt.
