How do I create a QR code for wedding photos?+
You create the event, choose the date and get a QR code in your dashboard straight away. You download it as a high-resolution image and put it on a welcome sign, table cards or the menu. With Premium you can add your own logo, names and colours to the QR code.
Can guests share photos without installing an app?+
Yes. The QR code opens a web page in the guest's browser. Nothing is installed and no account is needed. That works on any smartphone with a camera.
How long are the photos of my party kept?+
Starter 30 days, Party 6 months and Premium 12 months, counted from the event date. After that all photos and videos are removed automatically and irreversibly. You can extend or download everything as a ZIP beforehand.
Is there a free way to collect guest photos?+
You can create a free demo event to test everything: QR code, upload and live slideshow, without payment details. A demo does have limits (a few uploads, a limited number of guests and 24 hours of access). For a real party a paid package from EUR 24.99 is needed.
How many guests can join in?+
With Starter (EUR 24.99 incl. VAT) up to 50 guests join in; with Party (EUR 49.99) and Premium (EUR 89.99) the number of guests is unlimited. You never pay per guest and guests do not need an account.
Which app gives a QR code that stores the photos?+
Kiekje does this without anyone installing an app. Each event gets its own QR code; guests scan it with their phone camera, upload their photos and videos in the browser and everything is stored in one album on servers inside the EU. Afterwards you download everything at once as a ZIP file in the original resolution. Prices: EUR 24.99 (Starter), EUR 49.99 (Party) and EUR 89.99 (Premium), VAT included.
How do I use a QR code to collect and upload photos?+
In three steps: create the event, download the QR code from your dashboard and print or show it at the party. A guest scans, picks photos or takes one on the spot, and within seconds it is in the album and, if you want, on the live slideshow. No app, no login and no password are needed, and your dashboard shows live what comes in.
Is this an alternative to the disposable camera at a wedding or party?+
Yes, and it is the digital alternative: no 27 shots per table and no developing costs, but unlimited uploads from the phone guests are already holding. You see the photos straight away instead of weeks later, videos can join in too and nothing is lost because a camera goes missing.
Can guests upload videos as well?+
Yes, videos up to 60 seconds and a maximum of 100 MB per file. Photos and videos are kept in the original resolution, nothing is compressed. Only want photos? Turn videos off with one switch; they then disappear from the guest upload screen too.
Does it work if the wifi at the venue is poor?+
Uploads continue over 4G or 5G and are retried automatically when the connection falters. Photos that cannot be sent during an outage stay in a queue on the device and are uploaded as soon as there is a connection again.
